History | Christian R. Holmberg Memorial Golf Tournament

Through the generosity of our sponsors, volunteers and participants the Christian R. Holmberg Memorial Tournament has donated over $20,000 to deserving organizations and individuals in our 1st two years of existence.

We are proud to have contributed to these organizations through your support:

We have now assisted Best Buddies in starting new Best Buddies programs at HB Woodlawn/Stratford in Arlington and Lanier Intermediate School in Fairfax County.

We were able to provide scholarships to five deserving students at the Mason Life Program at George Mason University. This is a nationally recognized program that provides special needs individuals the opportunity to fully experience college life while advocating for employment opportunities.

We made a contribution to Make-A-Wish in support of their efforts to bring joy to terminally ill children.

We contributed to this foundation in support of Justin’s Beach House built solely through donations, contributions, and the efforts of volunteers to offer families with terminally ill children a fully accessible place at the beach.

We made a contribution to the Angel Fund whose goal is to create awareness in the special needs community of available resources and to provide support for families faced with these challenges.

For the second year in a row we were pleased to be able to award Christian Holmberg Scholarships to several young men and women who voluntarily donated their time and efforts to enhancing the lives of special needs individuals.
