Christian Robert Holmberg was born with Down Syndrome, survived open heart surgery at 4 years of age and passed away at 39 after a valiant battle with ALS. His unwavering optimism, strength of character, magnetic personality and sense of decency allowed him to overcome both his handicaps and societal prejudices to lead a life that touched and inspired many.

In Christian’s memory we are proud to host our 3rd Annual Christian Holmberg Memorial Golf Tournament. Our sole purpose is to support organizations and individuals who advocate for, support, and are dedicated to enhancing the lives of special needs individuals.

We are very grateful to our past volunteers, participants and sponsors whose generosity has enabled us to offer over $20,000 in support in just our first two years. In addition to supporting wonderful organizations like Best Buddies, Make-A-Wish and the George Mason University Mason Life Program we have also awarded 10 scholarships to young individuals who give selflessly of themselves to befriend and nurture these deserving individuals.
